Aspire Systems a proud Habanero SauceCon 2021 Sponsor

With origins tracing back to the Amazon, the Habanero pepper today is popular in the Mexican and South American regions. Measuring between 100,000 to 350,000 units on the Scoville Scale (the measurement of pungency or spiciness of chili peppers), the Habanero is one of the hot varieties of chili pepper and requires warm temperatures for it to flourish. Like any fruit-bearing plant, the Habanero needs a lot of care as its roots must always be within well-drained soil and fertilized to prevent it from drying out. With consistent and proper care of its framework (roots and stems), it will be able to produce fruit for many years.

So how do test automation and the Habanero pepper have a connection?

Similar to the Habanero pepper plant that is nurtured with great efforts to bear fruit, any application as part of the software development cycle must have a test automation framework that can cover the end-to-end testing. With the advantage of a framework in place, adding several testing techniques and frameworks powered by AI and ML enhances the application’s ability to be tested effectively and efficiently leading to better faster and seamless deployment.

How did Aspire Systems and SauceLabs help stabilize a Life Insurance Consumer App?

The organization’s Life Insurance (Quote to Application) web portal was set to be deployed in August 2019, but it was delayed due to non-reproducible intermittent issues arising during the application run time. The quality testers weren’t able to decode a solution that could resolve the issues.

With just under 15 days in hand, Aspire was asked to conduct quality assessments of the application and identify the cause of the discrepancies and offer a solution that could help the customer meet the deadline of going live.

Leveraging Aspire’s test automation framework AFTA 3.0 that seamlessly fit into the testing environment of the application, allowed the team to conduct end-to-end functional testing. The reduced dependency on human intervention ensured the continuous running of test cycles across various regions and timezones under the ‘Follow the Sun’ model. The robust automation framework’s advanced integration capabilities helped increase testing with:

  • Compatibility tests
  • Regression test (through test automation)
  • Load/Performance Testing
